Education & Community

Total Nutrition believes that engaging children, of all ages, in nutrition and the importance of what they eat is hugely important! With the increase in recent years of diet-related illnesses such as Type II Diabetes, Total Nutrition take the approach that education leading to prevention is the key.

With this in mind, Total Nutrition have liaised with community/education figures and parents to design a series of 'Total Food, Total Health' education services that enables children and parents alike to interact and engage with each other to improve their nutritional knowledge and food choices.

Total Nutrition's staff are fully CRB checked and the company has a safeguarding and equal opportunities policies in place to ensure the safety and inclusion of every child & adult on each of our programmes, be it in a school or community setting.


Total Nutrition have already successfully implemented a number of their 'Total Food, Total Health' programmes in a number of learning environments and achieved excellent success:

Early Learning Years (0-5 years old) 

Developing basic nutritional and food knowledge in early learning years is now being recognised as hugely important. Using a range of specially designed fun, interactive learning and games, Total Nutrition’s ‘Total Food, Total Health’ programme aimed at the early learning years (0-5 years old) helps to develop your child’s food education in accordance with the curriculum in the following Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) areas:

First & Middle School (5-12 years old) 

Maintaining a child’s interest in diet & food is essential as they grow older, to help keep those correct food and nutritional choices in place. Total Nutrition’s ‘Total Food, Total Health’ programmed aimed at First & Middle school pupils builds upon foundation knowledge of food & nutrition through using interactive learning and basic cooking skills in the classroom environment to ensure building upon the Key Stage skills within the national curriculum.


High School (+12 years old) 

As children develop in to young adults, the need for the correct diet is just as important as their food and nutritional choices will be a life-long choice. With this in mind, Total Nutrition’s ‘Total Food, Total Health’ programme (+12 years old) is aimed at engaging young adults in topics such as: Nutrition & Physical Activity, Cooking Skills, Food Shopping Choices and Lunchtime Nutrition, as well as aiming to improve the Key Stage skills within the national curriculum.
